I am sharing this on behalf of one of my customers who is a member of TTOL ( I don't know her TTOL name).

I am posting and sharing this information on her behalf...

Margaret and James Barlow are frequent visitors to the island for the last 30 years and have been my customers for number of years now. They arrived on the island on July 28th for their regular visit and even used my service.

On July 30th James Barlow passed away on the island (natural causes) in the resort that they were staying.

He loved the island so much and as per his wishes his remains were cremated on the island.

My sincere condolences to Margaret and her family.

Thanks
Jeannie

Wow, how sad! Condolences to his wife and family. I'm glad he was able to have his remains stay there. Does anyone know what their TTOL name was?

Thsnk you Jeanie and other TTOL's. We've been coming to
SXM for over 25 years and have been owners at the old Pelican
now Simpson Bay. Carol, I'm the one that brought most of my
food all these years since we usually had 6-8 guests staying
with us. This was probably our 50th trip, Jim really loved
being there. Thank you again...Marge Baralo

Marge,
So sorry for your loss. There is never a good time for this...but going to rest, in the place he loved so much, sounds like the perfect way to enter eternity. I have told my wife many times, when the time comes I would love my ashes spread at different places on the island...all the places i loved to go. a bit at royal islander, maho beach....some at orient beach....a few ashes dropped in the casinos....and a few ashes spread around our favorite restaurants. May you have many years of happy memories of all the good times you shared in paradise...

So sorry for your loss Marge. There is nothing easy about what you are going through. I hope the knowledge that Jim is eternally resting in a place that he so loved comforts you, at least a little.

My sincere sympathies. I never thought I could return to St. M after the loss of my husband (who loved the island so much, as do I) ... but I - and his ashes - returned the next year and every year there after (5 years now).

I wish you love, peace, and consolation.

Marge so glad to hear you arrived home safely. As you know I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing but I was glad that I was here even if it was just as someone for you to talk to. Please take care of yourself & hopefully I will see you back on SXM next year.

Sharon
